What is Love Beer. Hate Cancer.?
It’s part kickball, part community hangout, part “let’s make a difference while we’re having fun.”
Love Beer. Hate Cancer. is a laid-back, rain-or-shine, co-ed kickball event where teams play two guaranteed games, families spread out lawn chairs, kids run around, drinks stay cold, and everyone cheers each other on.
Think less “elite athlete,” more “high-fives and laughing when you miss first base.”

At the heart of it all is something much bigger than kickball. This event raises money for childhood cancer research in memory of Katie, who bravely fought Osteosarcoma and lost her battle at just 20 years old. Every team, every drink, every bid helps fund hope for other families facing the same fight.
So come hang out. Bring the kids. Invite your neighbors. Stay for a game or stay all day. Rain or shine, we’ll be there — doing good and having fun together.

Nope. In fact, many of our attendees are there to get their spectatin’ on. If taking in a game while sipping a beer is more your style, amen! Another option is to come and buy a beer, check out our silent auction and pick up some merchandise!
First of all — we love that energy!
No full squad? No problem. We’re pros at a little matchmaking. If you’re flying solo (or just have a few friends), reach out to us and we’ll happily place you on a team. It’s one of the best ways to meet new people, make new friends, and jump right into the fun.
Just contact us and we’ll make sure you’ve got a spot on the field.
That’s OK. Event staff will contact winners who are not present and see to it that they get hooked up!
Kids are more than welcome! There will be lots of other youngsters for your kids to play with as well as other activities to keep them entertained. This is a family-friendly event. After all, this event is about helping kids, right? Heck, have them on your team and make it a family day!
Of course! It takes a village to put on such an amazing event. Lots of volunteers are needed to help umpire games, set up fields, serve beer, sell tickets for prize drawings, etc. Contact us at LoveBeerHateCancerInfo@gmail.com if you’re interested
Team members of any age are welcome! Just make sure to warm up those hamstrings before the games begin! Remember, this is family-friendly so go easy on the little ones in the field.
